Christian Baker May Be Sued Over Lesbian Couple's Wedding Cake

This weekend I read an article about an owner of a bakery who refused service to a lesbian couple who were getting married because it conflicted with her Christian beliefs. Read the full article here.

Obviously the business owner has the right to refuse service to anyone, up until the point where it is discrimination. But what exactly about them being a lesbian couple was against her beliefs? From my upbringing in a Christian home I was taught that Jesus loves everyone. My mother says "hate the sin, not the sinner." While in her view homosexuality may be a sin, there is no justification to refusing them service based on their sexual preference.

What do you think? Was the baker within her rights as a business owner? As a Christian? How about as a human?
